This place was a fitting option for exploring Chester at a reasonable price. The bar downstairs had a nice atmosphere. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the road and bar noise.

What a comfortable stay, no complaints. Welcoming staff and savoury breakfast with exceptional products. Good service offered. Not to mention good wifi! Easy, brilliant location adjacent to town centre, the bar and beer garden, and Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks. Besides, easy access to All Saints' Church.

Clean rooms with ample tea and coffee facilities. Close to the city center, and there's a Co-op just a couple of minutes away for any last-minute needs.
Noisy atmosphere, especially near the bar area, which may disrupt a good night's sleep. The walk to the city takes about 20 minutes and can be tiring, with busy roads and no direct route. Some rooms overlook the car park, and if you're sensitive to noise, you might hear late-night patrons leaving the bar. Limited breakfast options and early cut-off for dinner reservations might not suit everyone.

Couldn't fault it. Will definately return, and have already recommended it to 2 friends. Crisp linen, hot water throughout the day. Good breakfast, and bar meals. Within easy reach of Chester town centre, and railway station.
Would have liked the Bawn to serve bar meals after 6.00pm, perhaps til 8.00pm, although with how busy the staff were extra meals may have caused problems.

The staff were so friendly and helpful I had my elderly mother in a wheelchair and Dter an accident my husband could barely walk either the staff helped with bags etc bad sorted a downstairs room for my mother the the food was delicious we had an evening meal in which was lovely. There were a few issues with TVs not working rooms too hot for us to cold for mother but all were sorted.

Only stayed for one night as was just passing through, but would have liked another night. Had a great nights sleep. Comfy bed, then nice decent breakfast in the morning. Nice bar to relax in when we arrived. Overall a nice place.

This is not really a hotel, but a Guest House. My room was a good room, very quiet. Good location in order to achieve Town. Car park very little and, as I arrive late, the parking lots were full with the clients of the Pub. Nice breakfast.

The location of bawn lodge is just perfect, only a short walk to the city center. We loved the breakfast, so much variety n it was tasty too. The staff were super friendly. Our room was clean and comfy, just what we needed after a long drive. Parking was easy and free!
The bed was a bit too soft for us, not really our thing. It got noisy at night since there's a bar downstairs.
